Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PowerPoint plugin StoryTelling Charts (“Plugin”) provided by Business Model Hackers LLC (“Company”). By downloading, installing, or using the Plugin, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
License
Grant of License
The Company grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Plugin strictly in accordance with these Terms.
Restrictions
You may not: – Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Plugin. – Sublicense, sell, rent, lease, distribute, or otherwise transfer any rights to the Plugin. – Use the Plugin for any unlawful purpose or any purpose prohibited by these Terms.
Email Subscription Requirement
The use of the Plugin is contingent on maintaining a subscription to our email list. Unsubscribing from the email list will deactivate your license. We will send notifications prior to deactivation, allowing you to resubscribe if desired. To reactivate your license after unsubscribing, simply resubscribe to our email list through the Plugin interface or our website.
Ownership
The Plugin is licensed, not sold. The Company retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Plugin, including all intellectual property rights.
Privacy and Data Use
By using the Plugin, you consent to the collection and use of certain data as described below:
- Technical Data: We collect technical data related to your device, system, and software for updates, support, and related services. This data does not personally identify you unless otherwise indicated.
- Bug Reporting: The Plugin automatically sends bug reports to help improve its stability. These reports typically do not contain personal data; however, in some cases, information may be considered personal. We process these reports solely to identify and fix software errors.
- Usage Data: When using the Plugin, non-personal Usage Data (e.g., launching PowerPoint, selecting features) is transmitted to the Company. This data is accompanied by an anonymous Globally Unique Identifier (“GUID”) and license key. The GUID is a unique identifier generated upon first use to help identify user activity.
- Data Storage: Usage Data, GUID, and license key are stored on Company servers. Collection and analysis of this data are disabled if error reporting and automatic updates are turned off.
We are committed to complying with all applicable data privacy regulations, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the United States, and other relevant local data protection laws. Updates and Support
The Company may provide updates or modifications to the Plugin from time to time. We will notify you of available updates via email or in-app notifications. While the Company is not obligated to provide support, we offer the following basic support options:

Any updates provided will be subject to these Terms.
Termination
These Terms are effective until terminated by you or the Company. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically, without notice from the Company, if you fail to comply with any of these Terms.
To voluntarily terminate your license:
1. Uninstall the Plugin from your device(s)
2. Send an email to support@storytellingcharts.com requesting license termination
Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Plugin and delete all copies from your devices.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Plugin is provided “as is” and “as available,” without any guarantees, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Company does not guarantee that the Plugin will meet your needs or that it will operate uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever, arising from the use or inability to use the Plugin, even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Plugin shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Boston, Massachusetts, unless otherwise agreed by both parties.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Plugin or your violation of these Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of the Terms will remain in full effect.
Changes to Terms
The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, the Company will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to the new terms taking effect. You will be notified of any material changes via email or in-app notifications.
For non-material changes, we will update the Terms on our website and within the Plugin. We encourage you to review the Terms periodically.
What constitutes a material change will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion.
